NY BookPALS World Read Aloud Day – Read to Me Challenge

BookPALS and the Rise Up Foundation kicked off their National Literacy Campaign called “Read To Me” this week at PS 140 in Manhattan.

Special guest, Mr. G from PIX 11, as well as the team of BookPAL volunteers dressed for the occasion! Donning the garb of their favorite children’s book characters, volunteers read aloud to their attentive audiences.

The “Read to Me” challenge is a call to action for every person, performer or not, to read to a child today. Take the challenge and then issue your own challenge to your friends and family. Read to a child today.
