The SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations program offers inspiring Q&As and Career Retrospectives with well-known actors who explore the process and profession of acting with an audience of fellow performers; reflect on personal experiences and artistic influences that informed and shaped their careers; discuss past and current projects; share valuable insights into the craft and industry; and preserve their creative legacies in the Actors Archive.
Presented in Los Angeles, New York and cities nationwide, we offer two types of Conversations: screenings of films and television shows followed by Q&As with casts and principals, and two-hour Career Retrospectives with the leading, influential actors of our time. All Conversations are professionally moderated, recorded and available in our video gallery.
Over 300 Conversations Career Retrospectives with notable actors, including Morgan Freeman, Michael Keaton, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Costner, Edward Norton, Louis Gossett, Jr, Alan Arkin, Matthew McConaughey, Eddie Redmayne, Matt Damon, Sir Ian McKellen, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino, Ewan MacGregor, Jada Pinkett Smith, Shirley MacLaine, Kirk Douglas, Jane Russell, Robert Duvall, Henry Fonda, Charlton Heston, and Diahann Carroll live in our permanent Actors Archive and many are available for viewing online.
In New York, we host a special Conversations series in partnership with BroadwayWorld.com to celebrate the vibrant theater community in the city and feature actors with careers on both stage and screen including Chita Rivera, Stockard Channing, Ellen Burstyn, David Hyde Pierce, Judy Greer, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jim Parsons and Keith Carradine.
The Conversations series is free for SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity members, and made possible through gifts, grants and sponsorships. The Foundation never draws on SAG-AFTRA dues or initiation fees.
