LOS ANGELES, CA (January 15, 2021) – Prolific voice actor Brad Venable, a rising star in the voiceover world, passed away suddenly on January 7th at the age of 43. The Oklahoma-born voice-over actor was especially well known in the video game and animation arenas, where his exceptional talents will be greatly missed. In memory of Brad’s legacy, the Advisory Board of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab has elected to posthumously honor Brad with the Don LaFontaine Spirit Award for exhibiting the same dedication and generosity of spirit that legendary voice-over artist, Don LaFontaine, was so well known for.

Previous award recipient and fellow voice actor Rebecca Davis stated, “Brad was a dear friend, an incredible talent and a champion of all of us.  His heart and spirit were incredible.”

The award will be presented to Brad’s wife, Kathryn Venable. In addition, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation wishes to extend its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
