About

Casting Access

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation Casting Access Program provides free audition preparation classes with prominent casting professionals online, and in-person in Los Angeles and New York. This Program provides an exciting and unique opportunity for actors to receive individual feedback from respected Casting Directors at no cost to eligible SAG-AFTRA members.

To qualify for the Casting Access Program, you must be over 18, and a paid-up, full-membership, active status SAG-AFTRA member. You must fill out your Casting Access Profile.

Casting directors and associates from the Casting Society of America (CSA) and representatives from the independent casting community lead Casting Access classes, offering actors a wide range of educational and professional insights, from approaching the text to the auditioning process to casting etiquette.

Due to significant demand, we have a strict Frequency Restriction, Cancellation and No-show Policy. All of our policies are designed to ensure that as many performers can participate in our classes as possible.

Casting directors who have offered classes in the last year have cast these projects: And Just Like That, Atlanta, Avatar: The Way of Water, Big Little Lies, Big Sky, Billions, The Black List, Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Changeling, Chicago Med, Cloak & Dagger, The Closer, Creed III, Criminal Minds, The Deuce, Emily in Paris, The Gilded Age, Gossip Girl, iCarly, In The Heights, Inventing Anna, Kevin Can Wait, Kindred, Magnum P.I., Major Crimes, The Menu, Modern Family, Only Murders in the Building, Outer Banks, Pachinko, Paper Girls, The Patient, Poker Face, Pose, The Prodigal Son, Sharp Objects, She Said, Station 19, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Ramy, Russian Doll, Single Drunk Female, The Sinner, Snowfall, Snowpiercer, This Is Us, Tulsa King, We Are Who We Are, X, Yellowjackets.

Agent Access

Several times a year, we also host sessions with agents from both major and boutique agencies, offering a unique opportunity for performers to learn about the way talent agents seek and secure clients, and to receive feedback on their performances.

Young Performers

We offer some casting classes for actors under the age of 18. These classes will typically be offered around the winter and summer holidays, and young performers do not need to complete a Casting Access profile to participate.
