Ways to Give

Donate Online

The Foundation does not receive union dues to fund our programs. As a nonprofit, we rely on gifts, grants, and donations to maintain all of our no-cost programs for SAG-AFTRA members. Make a tax-deductible donation today.

Residuals Donation

A Residuals Donation offers SAG-AFTRA members a means of lending support to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation on an ongoing basis through funds derived from the artist’s work as a performer. Residuals donations directly support the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s programs and are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

Bequest

In a Bequest, a donor gives money, property or other assets to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation as defined in the donor’s will. These assets are available to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation upon the donor’s death.

Charitable Gift Annuities

A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a combination of an investment and a gift.

Charitable Lead Trusts

Charitable Lead Trust (CLT) offers a donor a means by which s/he can both lend substantial support to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and provide an inheritance for heirs through deferred transfer of assets at reduced gift tax or estate tax rates.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

Flexibility is key when deciding how to give to causes you care about and a Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) offers donors a versatile way to lend support to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation while creating an income stream for themselves, and a beneficiary, for life.

Life Settlements

For performers who are facing a change in health status, dealing with estate planning, or are approaching retirement, a Life Settlement is a great way to receive monies without surrendering policies or allowing them to lapse.

Pooled Income Fund

Another way to give is through a Pooled Income Fund (PIF) in which a donor’s irrevocable gift of cash and/or marketable securities is combined with other donors’ gifts, and invested by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
