Cast of Apple TV’s ‘The Studio’ Stars in Cheeky Year-End PSA
Press Release
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation released a new, tongue-in-cheek public service announcement, and year-end giving campaign, featuring The Studio creator and star Seth Rogen, and his castmates Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn and Chase Sui Wonders, with a surprise cameo by Bryan Cranston, a member of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Actors’ Council.
The PSA, which doubles as a playful “PSA within a PSA,” sets up Rogen by his co-stars who stage an outing to the Foundation to encourage him to “level up” by taking advantage of the free, career-building programs, before reminding him that “performers need the Foundation, and the Foundation needs us” to keep its programs free.
In keeping with the campaign’s humor, the Foundation added a unique twist: donors who give by December 31 will be amongst those driving the effort to name the lobby bathroom at the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists, the Seth Rogen & Friends Guest Bathroom, a playful nod to the PSA and a creative way to support the Foundation’s free programs for performers.
“We are deeply grateful to Bryan, Seth, Ike, Kathryn and Chase for using their creativity and humor to spotlight the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s free resources for performers,” said Courtney B. Vance, President and Chairman of the Board of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. “This campaign captures the spirit of community and generosity that keeps our programs, and our performers, thriving.”
The PSA is sponsored by Apple TV and available to view here.
