About

Our VO Labs in LA and NY are now open!

Virtual Voiceover Booth Sessions will continue for SAG-AFTRA members nationwide.

Our Voiceover Labs in Los Angeles and New York have reopened, offering SAG-AFTRA members the opportunity to practice copy, try out spots for demo reads, receive direction and record auditions in our state-of-the-art recording studios.

Our main booths will provide an audio engineer/booth director, while our solo booths will be available for SAG-AFTRA members to self-record.

We will continue to offer virtual voiceover booth sessions and classes to all SAG-AFTRA members nationwide.

LA, NY and Virtual

Our in-person voiceover labs in Los Angeles and New York have reopened and offer main and solo booth sessions to SAG-AFTRA members. Calendars are available to book your sessions today!

Our virtual voiceover booth sessions allow members nationwide to work with an audio engineer remotely to record auditions, practice voicing copy, and receive direction. Virtual voiceover booth sessions require members to have Google Chrome Browser, stable internet, and a quiet recording space. Source Connect is not required, but a helpful tool.

Due to significant demand, we have a strict Frequency Restriction, Cancellation and No-show Policy. All of our policies are designed to ensure that as many performers can participate in our classes as possible.

Voiceover Programs

We offer hundreds of hours of specialized programs every year in every facet of voiceover work, allowing beginners to gain a grounding in the field, and experienced practitioners to hone their craft and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.

Our expert guest instructors offer workshops, classes and discussion panels on the business, the craft and the evolving technical aspects of becoming a successful voiceover artist.

Our in-house staff of seasoned voiceover experts host multiple regular virtual workout groups and meet-ups designed to help members explore their craft, get feedback on their work, expand their business and technical know-how, and connect and network with other voiceover artists within the Foundation community.

Due to significant demand, we have a strict Frequency Restriction, Cancellation and No-show Policy. All of our policies are designed to ensure that as many members can participate in our classes as possible.

The DLF Voiceover Lab is named in memory of legendary voice actor Don LaFontaine and cultivates a thriving community of voice actors who embody his generous spirit of mentorship and giving back. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Don LaFontaine Voiceover Lab is a fitting tribute to this legendary artist and man that many of today’s top voiceover actors considered both their mentor and friend.
