Do you have a plan for your money? Are you in control of your spending, or do you find yourself wondering where your money went at the end of the month? In this session, you’ll learn how to take charge of your finances by creating a clear, practical plan. Participants will discover the steps to build a budget, eliminate debt, establish an emergency fund, and start saving for retirement. You’ll leave empowered with the tools and confidence to begin your journey toward financial freedom.
Please bring pencil or pen along with something to take notes.
Small Group Sessions are facilitated discussions with the goal of digging deeper into some of the information and advice shared within the panels. These sessions provide a time to break down concepts into practical action items by which an actor can individually apply to their professional pursuits. This session will last for 1 - 1.5 hours. Participants must stay for the whole time.
You will have the strongest connection on a computer connected to the internet via ethernet.
If you must use WiFi, please be on a personal network, not a public network such as Starbucks or the public library.
If you need to use video/audio during your session, you will need a computer with a webcam and/or microphone. If you do not have this, you can download the Zoom app on your smartphone.
Please remember to keep your audio muted unless you are speaking. To avoid audio feedback, we suggest wearing headphones.

Cancellation Policy:Â
We understand that life happens, but last-minute cancellations can disrupt the program and impact other members. Here’s what you need to know:
Cancellation Deadline: Please refer to your program requirements email for specific cancellation deadlines. These may vary based on class structure.
Cancellations must be made through the website; we cannot accept them via email or phone.
If you cancel after the deadline outlined in your mail and on the website, you will be marked as a "no-show".
Conduct:
We ask all members to behave professionally and respectfully at all times. Aggressive behavior is not acceptable.
If you have a concern or issue, we encourage you to express it in the appropriate setting and work toward a resolution. Disruptive behavior during program will not be tolerated.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone.
Recording of any kind (audio or video) is strictly prohibited.
No-Show Policy:Â
Late Arrival: Check in opens 15 minutes before the program starts. Please arrive on time. Â If you arrive late, you will be marked as a no-show.
Leaving Early: We expect you to stay for the duration of the program as leaving early disrupts the session.  Leaving early will be recorded as a no-show.  Please don’t sign up if you will need to leave early.
Our no-show policy is a two-strike system over the course of one year. The first instance of a no-show will be recorded in your member account. Â If a second no-show occurs, you will be restricted from attending Small Group Sessions for 90 days.
Additional Rules:
You will need to show a valid SAG-AFTRA ID card or proof of payment to attend. No entry will be granted without current verification.
Virtual Sessions: If you are attending a remote program, please do not share the session link.
Content Warning: Some programs may contain explicit or sensitive content, which is intended for mature audiences.
