Wildfire Emergency Resources
Our hearts are with everyone who has been affected by the loss, displacement, and uncertainty that has come with the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
We are currently prioritizing Disaster Relief for SAG-AFTRA members whose homes were destroyed by or are uninhabitable because of the fires. If you are a SAG-AFTRA member whose residence has been destroyed or rendered uninhabitable by the L.A. wildfires, please apply to our Disaster Relief Fund.
If you have not lost your home due to the fires, but have been affected and are in need of assistance, please contact the organizations and emergency resources listed below, as they are equipped to handle crises of this scale and can address your immediate needs.

• The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is accepting applications for financial assistance from impacted Los Angeles County residents, apply here before March 10th or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362)
• The U.S. Small Business Administration offers low-interest loans, below market-rate, to rebuild homes and businesses and replace personal items. During the first year, no interest accrues, and no payments are required. Call 800-659-2955 or apply online before March 10th here.
• The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers will remove debris from your property for free. Complete this form by March 31st to sign up, or call the County’s Public Works Hotline at 844-347-3332 for more information.
• Request property tax relief from the LA County Assessor by calling (213) 974-8658 or by submitting this online form.
• The Red Cross offers immediate financial assistance to anyone who lived within the Eaton, Palisades, Hurst, and Kenneth Fire perimeters. Call 1-800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767) or view here.
• If you lost your job or can’t work because of a disaster, you may qualify for CA Disaster Unemployment Assistance. Apply here and learn more by reading this fact sheet.

• One-stop Rebuilding Centers are now open to provide assistance to property owners navigating the rebuilding process, including permitting, planning, and other recovery-related services.

• FEMA offers Transitional Sheltering Assistance provides short-term, emergency sheltering options in participating hotels. Start by submitting an assistance application, and learn more here.
• FEMA has specific resources available to people who were unhoused before the wildfires began. Learn more
• LA 2-1-1 is partnering with Airbnb and Hilton to offer free temporary housing and hotel vouchers. Apply here

– FYI: It is against the law for hotels to increase rates due to increased demand from fire evacuations.
• Wildfire victims now qualify for LA Metro’s Low Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) program, which offers 90 days of unlimited free rides, followed by 20 free rides per month. The program works across all Metro services, as well as municipal services like Pasadena Transit and the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus. Learn more and sign up here.

• YMCA is offering free childcare at twelve locations across the county for students TK-8th grade. Learn more
• To support families impacted by the Eaton fire, LA County Parks Care Camps are open to youth and teens as a supportive space for fun and recreation through January 31st. Learn more
• The Boys & Girls Club is opening their doors to ALL youth ages 6 – 18. Registration fees have been waived during this time so that all kids in need have a safe place to go. Click here to see the participating locations.
• The following organizations are partnering with Pasadena USD to offer free/discounted camps for kids. View here
• Disaster CalFresh offers one-time cash assistance up to $975 for people who live or work in zip codes affected by the fires. Applications are only open on weekdays between February 10th – 19th. Apply by calling 866-488-8482 (M-F, 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or by visiting an LA DPSS office in-person. More info here

• St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica announced a new Disaster Relief Pulmonary Clinic to aid people experiencing respiratory symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath or chest tightness. • Teladoc Health is offering free, 24/7 virtual medical care by calling 855-225-5032. Services include treatment for conditions like respiratory infections, allergies, sinus problems, or prescription medication refills. Learn more

• The Emergency Prescription Assistance Program helps people living in a disaster area who do not have health insurance get the prescription drugs and medical equipment that they need to stay healthy. Learn more

• The LA Region Worker Relief Fund provides cash assistance grants of $2,000 to people who lost income due to the windstorm and wildfires. Apply by February 24th. Apply here
• Members of any union local in LA County can apply for rent, mortgage, utilities, and/or food assistance from Labor Community Services LA. Intake form here.

• Entertainment Industry workers can receive financial assistance from the Entertainment Community Fund, the Motion Picture & Television Fund, and the Will Rogers Pioneers Assistance Fund.
• AID FOR ARTISTS is an initiative giving grants of up to $20,000 to professional artists impacted by the fires. Learn more and apply here.
• DreamSpring has compiled a list of 45+ grant funds that support artists working across media arts and film, literature, music, performing arts, craft, and visual arts. Learn more
• The Inevitable Foundation’s Emergency Relief Fund provides cash grants to disabled and neurodivergent writers and filmmakers in crisis. View here
• IATSE members and retirees can apply for up to $3,000 in financial relief, see application and instructions here.

• Food and beverage workers can apply for up to $1500 in grant assistance with Restaurants Care. Learn more

• A consortium of orgs are providing free self-tape home kits for actors who were displaced by the L.A. wildfires. Email putmeonselftape@gmail.com for information about qualifying for a free kit and where or when to pick them up.
• Zello Support is offering entertainment industry workers free furniture donations and deliveries. Learn more
• Bizzy Box Encino is offering free post office mailboxes for wildfire survivors. Learn more
• Guitar Center is offering replacement instruments to those who lost theirs in the fires. Apply by February 28.
• Avocado Green Mattresses is offering discounted/donated mattresses and bedding to those impacted by the wildfires. View here
• Replacement clothing for those who lost clothes in the fires is offered here and here.
• The LA Region Small Business Relief Fund provides cash assistance grants for small businesses and nonprofits impacted by the windstorm and wildfires. Organizations with revenue of up to $6 million and less than 100 employees can receive grants of up to $25,000 depending on disaster impact. Apply by February 24. Apply here.
• The LA Regional Small Business Legal Aid Program provides free legal education and direct representation to qualified small businesses. Learn more

• Business to Business Space Share connects businesses displaced by the fires to donated, temporary space generously provided by other organizations throughout LA County. Access the portal here.
• Nonprofits impacted by the wildfires may be eligible for FEMA Public Assistance to help restore their damaged or destroyed facilities. Apply by Sunday, March 9th, and learn more here.
