Conversations

Conversations are interviews with working actors in film and television who explore the process and profession of acting along with current projects, either live in front of an audience of SAG-AFTRA members or pre-taped and published on YouTube. In addition to one-on-one and cast Q&As for specific projects, we also host Career Retrospectives, and Journey of the Working Actor panels, allowing us to delve into the careers of performers, and the choices that led our industry’s top names to success.

The Business

The Business trains SAG-AFTRA members to think like entrepreneurs, as well as artists. Through panels on diverse topics, members hear from the creators behind the camera and industry experts, gain professional planning strategies, and learn marketing and financial concepts to empower them to take charge of their careers. The Business panels are recorded and posted on YouTube. The Small Group Sessions are 60-person workshops that dig deeper into the information and advice shared in The Business panels.

Casting Access

The Casting Access program offers insight into the casting process and gives members unique access to feedback from some of the top Casting Directors and Agents in our industry in 20-person classes. Casting Access and Agent Access classes are currently offered in New York and online, with Los Angeles classes to be introduced in late 2023/early 2024. Members can begin attending these programs after completing a Casting Access profile. We also offer Young Performers classes for members under 18.

The Virtual Tech Help Desk is an additional free resource available to all SAG-AFTRA members to assist with home set-ups and answer any technical questions — from needing help with lighting, to framing the shot, to recommendations on the best equipment for your livestream callback.

Computer Lab

The Lambs® Computer Lab of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation offers a variety of online classes and workshops. Computer Lab classes always utilize free or inexpensive software to minimize or negate financial barriers. Online classes serve 20-30 members per class, are approximately two hours and include a Q&A session following the class.
