Casting Access Policies and Rules

Accessibility

For those who have accessibility requirements, including ASL interpretation, please email rsvp@sagaftra.foundation with a minimum of three business days’ notice.

Frequency Restriction Policy

Most of our Casting Access classes are frequency restricted, meaning that you may only attend one session in any 30 day period.

Periodically, we host non-frequency restricted classes. These are not affected by the above frequency restriction, and you may attend them in addition to Frequency Restricted classes. However, all other policies apply.

Adding your name to the Waitlist for a class will effect your frequency restriction.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Casting Access Program, you must be a paid-up, full-membership, active status SAG-AFTRA member. If you are showing as ineligible, please contact SAG-AFTRA to enquire why that is. Please allow 24 hours for any changes to your status to reflect on our website.

Performers Programs Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are required by 11:59pm on the Cancellation Deadline, which will be published on the Program RSVP page. Typically the deadline is the day before the class, but sometimes it is earlier to ensure Casting Directors have time to review materials before class.

Cancellation can only be made via the website. You cannot cancel your RSVP via email or phone.

Casting Access Program No-Show Policy

Failure to fulfill an RSVP’d reservation or arrival after check-in is completed will be recorded as a no-show.

Failure to upload your self-tape, when applicable and requested, will also be treated as a no-show.

After any no-show, you may not participate in any Casting Access classes for 90 days.

Waitlist

Joining the waitlist means you will be notified when space opens up due to attendees dropping out of a full class. If you are on the waitlist, we assume you are available and interested in attending the class.

If space opens up, we will send you an email to confirm that you have been moved to the RSVP list.

If you are unable to attend a class, please remove your name from the waitlist.

You may be added to the attendee list up to three hours before the class start time on the day of the class. However, our no-show policy does not apply if you are added on the day of the event.

Other Rules

You must be able to show your valid SAG-AFTRA ID card (or your receipt of current payment) for admittance. No admittance will be granted without your current card or receipt.

Audio and video recording of Casting Access classes is strictly prohibited. Anyone found to be in violation of this rule may be banned from attending future Casting Access classes.

All attendees must participate. Attendees are not allowed to listen in on these Remote Sessions, or share the link to our sessions.

All attendees must stay for the entire class; usually between 2 – 4 hours. Please do not sign up for a class if you will need to leave before the class has ended.

The use of any type of gun or other weapon props are prohibited in classes.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation reserves the right to refuse admission or service to anyone.

Casting Access classes may include explicit, sexual, disturbing or offensive content and is intended for mature audiences only.

Casting Access classes are for educational purposes only.
