In 2024, the Foundation will open the doors of a new state-of-the-art Center for Performing Artists in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world.

For nearly forty years, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has served as the industry’s vital safety net, educational hub and community haven, offering emergency financial assistance and FREE professional development programs to 160,000 SAG-AFTRA performers nationwide.

The Center

The Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists will be a 15,000 square foot world-class facility located on the Penthouse Level of the SAG-AFTRA Building at 5757 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. Named in honor of Actors’ Council member and longtime Foundation supporter Meryl Streep, the Center will serve as an educational hub and creative home for all 160,000 SAG-AFTRA artists.

The Center will include a state-of-the-art screening room with the latest technology, voiceover recording sound booths, on-camera recording studio, tech labs, an editing bay, and instructional classrooms.

We’re thankful for so many who’ve helped play a pivotal role in our efforts over the last 38 years, and to the many donors and supporters who have stepped up to date to help SAG-AFTRA artists and families in need.

As our journey continues together, remember…if you need help, just ask, and if you can help, please give.
